Howell Recreation Summer Day Camp
Weekly Rates and Dates for summer 2009 will be set soon, look for registration information in our Winter brochure December 2008.
The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority offers a 10 week summer day camp beginning in June of each year. Summer Day Camp is packed with a variety of activities and non-stop excitement to keep kids age 5 through 12 active and engaged.
Bring your friends and meet new ones while participating in fun and creative activities like sports, games, swimming, archery, fishing, computers, team work skills, cookouts, nature study, music, drama, arts and crafts, game room, and special community outings. New camp themes begin each week and we place special emphasis on character development (caring, honesty, respect and responsibility) rolling it into every activity. Campers will start and end each day at Barnard Community Center in downtown Howell and participate in daily activities at Howell City Park and Thompson Lake. We spend a good portion of the day at the beach playing in the sand and water, weather permitting. Campers need to bring their own lunch and drink but healthy snacks will be on hand to keep their energy up throughout the day.
Howell Recreation Summer Day Camp offers you the opportunity to enroll your kids for the entire summer or pick the weeks that work best for you. Weekly themes will be established and posted prior to camp beginning. Camp will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Working parents also have the option to purchase just the Base Camp or purchase the Base Camp with an AM and/or PM
extender.
Our mature counselors and staff are carefully selected, trained, screened and have outgoing and caring personalities. Low ratios ensure that kids receive personal attention from their professional role models.
Join us as we create lifetime memories and lasting friendships!
